 THEORY6 will be conducting free workshops for children ages 5-15 at the Mississauga Central Library in the

 Children's Department located on the lower level of the Central Library. In these 10 sessions, kids will

 learn how to build and program robots from LEGO materials and learn principles of mechanical construction.

PEEL Rick Hansen, FIRST Lego League Ontario Tournament

 Come watch 24 FLL teams (ages 9-14) compete in FLL Tournament. FLL introduces younger students to

 real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing

 surface. FLL teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities

 and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society. Featuring this seasons challenge:

Mississauga VEX Robotics Championship

Event Date 25/Feb/2012


 Come watch 36 teams compete in the VEX Robotics Competition. The VEX Robotics Competition is the largest

 and fastest growing  middle and high school robotics program globally with more than 3,500 teams from 20

 countries playing in over 250 tournaments worldwide. This year's game is VEX Gateway.  Students, with

 guidance from their teachers and mentors, aim to build the most innovative robots possible and work

 together to obtain the most points possible. In addition to just having a great time and building amazing

 robots, through their participation in the VEX Robotics Competition and  their work within their team,

 students will learn many academic and life skills.
